The world's first 'Hangout in History' saw a bunch of Year-8 students from Bowral head back to the dark depths of 1348, when the black plague was savaging the European population.
The second adventure in time took students into the frosty thick of Ernest Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition between 1914 and 1917. Featuring Professor Chris Turney, the hangout was a showcase of Shackleton's amazing leadership skills and engaged the students' help in escaping near-certain death.
It's an idea so simple that it makes us sigh with non-erotic satisfaction: tapping into a commonly used platform to re-tell stories in a new way
