A better world, faster. Sometimes it's just about get out of the way and letting the content do the work.

The Google Impact Challenge is all about NGOs throwing in their technology ideas for change for the chance to win $4.5 million in funding. For the 2016 edition it was all about embracing the metaphor of a ripple.

Sometimes it's just about get out of the way and letting the content do the work. This campaign was humble, human and optimistic, pulling together animation, a website and separate identities for all 10 NGOs, as well as ownable marketing material to help them get their votes.

This is one of those projects everyone at Grumps HQ gets pumped about. It might not be the fanciest technology you've ever seen, but as designers, builders and project managers (and whoever else is floating through at the time) it's kind of nice to know you can make a difference in the world with your skills.

Grumpy Sailor operates on lands belonging to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and the Boon Wurrung and Woiwurrung (Wurundjeri) peoples of the Kulin nation.

We acknowledge these traditional owners and we pay our respects to leaders past, present and emerging.
