Difficult it may be, but these guys are possibly the coolest young team directing videos at the moment. They are Megaforce and by god are they cool video makers. If you get a spare minute peruse their work at riffrafffilms or at their Vimeo page. My personal take on them is that they aren't flashy or wasteful, they aren't caught up in the ego of creating film, from the look of it they are just grassroots filmakers having fun with the medium. True artistic visionaries. Big ups.

In fact when I think about what I actually want to do most with my time it almost certainly returns to doing something creative with my hands. Creating something lasting. Creating something other people might like. Creating something I will enjoy. All to often we look at people who are making things as second-class citizens, people doing menial tasks, working with their hands. It seems to be a popular modern snooty attitude to look down on people who do things that often a machine can do faster, but at a lower quality. Handmade represents pure beauty to me. It's almost always blemished or flawed in one way or another, but I think as humans tend to love those objects more because we can associate better with something that is beautiful with imperfections. Kind of the same way we do with Humans.

Last night we presented our latest production 'Crime plays' from Dog Money World at Vivid Creative Sydney, and a genuinely cool experience it was. Presenting in front of such an engaged audience was both nerve-racking and rewarding. Everyone was super amped about our project which was incredibly invigorating. Interestingly we heard two definitions from creators, defintions of Transmedia and All-media. As a creative in advertising and a contentmaker I am a firm believer, when working in both disciplines, in not using all channels available just because they are there. I reckon there is a lot of value in creating a genuinely rich experience on the appropriate channels for the story/messaging, and respecting your audience by giving them as deep or shallow experience as they desire. Transmedia all the way for me! Looking forward to getting the Crime Plays prototype out. Thanks vivid and Metroscreen for the opportunity.
